Smel. was born from a simple question — why are perfumes and aftershaves so expensive? In 2017, our founder Josh White dug into the industry and discovered that most of the cost came from branding, not ingredients.
So, he teamed up with expert perfumers to recreate the essence of five bestselling designer scents — without the designer price tag. The result? High-quality fragrances that smelled familiar, sold fast, and built a loyal following through word of mouth.
